Range of Services

The practice provides a range of services and clinics in addition to 'essential services' (i.e. general patient care, including managing health needs, chronic diseases, and terminal illnesses).

All care is agreed in discussion with the patient and involves decisions about appropriate ongoing treatment for the duration of that condition, including relevant health promotion advice and referral as appropriate.

In addition to the above, the practice offers various enhanced services, e.g. diabetes, sexual health, extended hours etc.

 

The Practice Nurse

The nurse is able to help you with:

  • New registration health checks
  • Travel advice and immunisations
  • Immunisations for children and adults
  • Dressings
  • Ear irrigation/syringing
  • Chronic disease management, e.g. diabetes, asthma/COPD, hypertension, etc

 

 

  • Pregnancy tests and contraceptive advice
  • Cervical smear tests
  • Smoking cessation advice
  • Healthy living advice including diet, and weight management
  • Chlamydia and STI screening
  • Suture removal
 

District Nurses

The district nurses provide services including: assessing the health needs of housebound patients, monitoring long-term health problems in housebound patients, care of terminally ill patients and support for their family. They can be contacted on 020 7683 5134.

 

Health Visitors

Health visitors are able to provide you with information and advice on child health/immunisations, etc. The health visitors are attached to the baby clinic, and are at the practice during the baby clinic hours.

Social Prescribing

Social prescribers support patients who do not necessarily require clinical treatment, but have other related problems which need to be addressed. Social prescribers can provide a wide range of advice and support, for example, help with loneliness, benefits advice and housing help, bereavement support, physical and emotional wellbeing classes and more. Please call our reception on 020 7275 0077 to book a 1-hour initial consultation with the social prescriber.

 

Non NHS services

Certain services are not available under the NHS, e.g. a DVLA examination, third party letters, and certain travel immunisations. The reception staff will be able to book an appointment for you and inform you of the fee.
